Should aegir enable required dependencies when migrating sites?

Tagged:

Hi,

i'm currently using Aegir in conjunction with drush make: Every few days I generate a new platform using my make file and "migrate" my existing development site to the new platform.

Aegir updated my site correctly. But my problem is that i introduce sometimes new dependencies. My Make file ensures they get downloaded. Shouldn't then aegir ensure these get enabled? What do you think?

In my opinion the system should check for new dependencies in the used install profile and in all enabled modules.

Hi,

I don't know which is the status of this issue but I think remains as is. What happens if you edit your profile's info file and add new dependencies, when migrate the site to this new platform? The new modules (correctly downloaded by drush make) are not being enabled automatically, and has to be done manually?

Need help?
