I am migrating a current website to aegir. Is it best to have two domains? One for the current website and one for the admin of the aegir site?

I don't see why you couldn't do that, just check available domain names, chose one for your website and start building it. I didn't know aegir works with multiple IP addresses though, this will certainly help me in the future!
