I have obtained several installation profiles (provided with purchased themes). I have unzipped the complete profile (with drupal core) into a directory in /var/aegir/platforms. I create the platform, and it verifies.

I then try to create a site. No matter which of the profiles I try, I get this error on a site install:

Drush was not able to start (bootstrap) the Drupal database. Hint: This may occur when Drush is trying to: * bootstrap a site that has not been installed or does not have a configured database. . . .

Seems like Aegir just doesn't want to create the first site on the platform. Seems like Aegir wants an existing site in the sites/community.aegirproject.org directory, although I have read that Aegir supposedly ignores this directory.

How can I solve this problem?
