Manual installation stops at common.inc_6.28.patch error

Hi,

I had been trying to install aegir on my ubuntu server and its the manual installation which i am trying to do and i am stuck at this error below:

Unable to download http://drupal.org/files/common.inc_6.28.patch. [error] Could not download platform using drush make. No platform present [error]

This comes up in the step where i run the installation of hostmaster using

drush hostmaster-install

I have checked through to see if there are any issues with the permissions and also the path isues and nothing seem to resolve the issue.

Can somebody please help resolve this. Any help is greatly appreciated.
