Aegir at DrupalCon Munich

Hello all,

I'm very pleased to announce that I'll be presenting a couple of sessions at DrupalCon Munich on Aegir:

I'd love to hear suggestions or questions that anyone would like to see addressed in these sessions.

Also, we'll obviously have at least one BoF session, and I'd really like to organize a couple other Aegir-centric get-togethers:

  • Maybe an install party, for those a little newer to the project?
  • A sprint on 2.x, for the more hard-core devs.
  • A contrib showcase, where those building tools for, on or around Aegir, as well as those interested in making use of same in their own deployments.

These could take the form of BoFs, or perhaps just informal meet-ups in and around the Con. Please comment on your interests and plans, as even a modest amount of preparation can make a world of difference.

Cheers, and see you in Munich!

Let's plan a formal sprint for sure!

I'm there, +1 for a sprint

Hi this sounds great, who do we submit the possible showcases two as we have a project we'd be happy to talk about.

I suggest wednesday. As the two sessions from ergonlogic are on tuesday.

Yep, that'll be the 'official' BoF, I believe. We should be able to just claim a table on Friday during the sprints.

As for anything else, I suspect there'll be coder lounges and such, where we can stake out a corner. Alternatively, I've just scheduled a Drush & Aegir Contrib Showcase for the end of the day Tuesday. I don't think there's any reason to 'submit' showcases, just prepare a little intro or demo, and we'll work it out on the spot.

I figured that, by scheduling it for late Tuesday, I can drum up interest in my sessions. But also, since it's at the end of the day, we won't be rushed for time., and most of the pressure will be off me, as both my sessions will be done (for better or worse :-). From there, if there's continued interest, we could retire to dinner, drinks, and possibly some tech-talk, coding (and more drinking, of course) in our hotel room or thereabouts.
