New 'feature'?
Since upgrading to the 1.9 version, I've noticed that any new platforms I add are automatically being promoted to frontpage; and I can't figure out how/why that's happening...???

Hi, how do you mean 'promoted to front page'? The front page of your Aegir system should be /hosting/sites, which is not something that shows any list of 'promoted' nodes?
Maybe send a screenshot to illustrate what you're seeing? I certainly have not reproduced this, or heard of anyone else experiencing this, so I suspect something has happened to your Aegir install.

Strange, I know...but after I upgraded to 1.9, everytime I add any content (site, platform, etc...), it gets promoted to the frontpage of my site...that is, if I go to my domain where aegir is hosted, the 'content' (site, platform, etc...) shows.
I edited the content settings for sites/platforms/servers to not promote to front page, and now they don't.
It might be the way I've installed this (2+ years ago...) and, really, I don't want it that way but don't know how to change it. My domain name is civiclix.com, and that is my aegir system...I really want the aegir system to be at my civiclix.net domain, so I can use just the standard aegir installation and not mess it up with extra modules I need to develop my front-facing site. I've posted another question about moving it, but haven't seen a response...
Anyway, this is something that didn't used to happen...and probably is something I've done...
I LOVE aegir, but I'm starting to get very wary of it...every time I do an upgrade, it's a complete nighmare; I always manage to get myself out of it, and I'm sure it's because of all the extra modules I've added to build my site over and above the hosting stuff.
Thanks again...not really concerned about this so much, but would love to know how to move my entire installation to a different domain, so I can just use my main domain for marketing purposes...
